Chairman David Michell brings a deep wool market knowledge to Michell Endeavour, having worked his way through most areas of a family business that traces its wool origins back over 150 years.
The holder of a Senior Executive MBA from Columbia School of Management in the USA, David started at GH Michell and Sons Australia as a Cadet Wool Buyer in 1977.
He later moved within the company to trade commodity futures and, later, externally with the National Bank of Detroit, into foreign exchange and banking, chapters during which he honed his commodity trading and international trade finance knowledge.
He went on to serve as Michell Australia’s Treasurer for much of the 1990s and, more recently, as the company’s General Manager. As Chairman since 2004, David was instrumental in directing the successful restructuring of the company into Michell Wool Pty Ltd during what was a particularly challenging trading period.
Outside of the family business, David is an owner, director and shareholder of Wirra Wirra Wines, serving as its Chairman from 2006 to 2022, as well as the owner of ioMerino, a high-performance merino activewear company he established in 2002.
He is currently Chairman of Wool Industries Australia, the peak body for the Australian wool industry.
Michell Endeavour Director Josh Lamb grew up on a merino sheep property in the Western Division of New South Wales and, on completing his schooling in Sydney, commenced his professional wool journey in 1992, learning the ropes as a junior wool buyer for a South American wool exporter based at the Sydney wool auctions centre in Yennora.
His career path then took him to Michell Australia in the mid-1990s, where he remained for seven years before joining leading greasy wool supplier, Techwool Trading, as its Sydney manager. The role proved to be a springboard to the company’s Geelong office as Trading Manager.
After 14 years – and during which time he played his part in Techwool’s growth to become Australia's largest wool exporter – he teamed up with fellow wool industry personalities Warwick Eddington and Stuart Greenshields, to establish Endeavour Wool Exports in 2017.
Over a career spanning more than 30 years and taking him to customers across the world, all in search of quality Australian wool, Josh has also found time to give back to the industry, serving as President of the Australian Council of Wool Exporters and Processors (ACWEP) for the past six years and as a director of the Australian Wool Testing Authority (AWTA).
Growing up on the family wool growing farm in Victoria, Stuart Greenshields’ interest in Merino wool started at an early age. He’d hang around the shearing shed when very young and, in later years, could be found helping during shearing time and mustering sheep whenever he could.
On leaving school, he completed diplomas in Wool & Fibre Marketing and Export Trade & Logistics from Melbourne College of Textiles and immediately embarked on a career in wool export, where he has remained for the past 25 years.
He worked in various buying and trading positions at numerous leading export companies from 2001 to 2016 before teaming up with fellow wool industry participants, Josh Lamb and Warwick Eddington – together with over 50 years’ combined experience – to establish the inventive Endeavour Wool Exports in 2017.
In less than a decade, the trio has grown the business to become the second largest wool exporter in the country, responsible for some 200,000 bales annually.
With his extensive industry experience in the wool business, Stuart ensures that Michell Endeavour provides the best possible service to Australian wool growers keen to access overseas export markets, export customers and, ultimately, consumers across the globe.
Adelaide born and raised, Michell Wool’s Managing Director Andrew Luxton has quickly developed a passion for the wool industry, its people and its products since joining in recent years.
The holder of a mechanical engineering degree and an MBA, Andrew displays an impressive record in delivering strategic growth while driving product innovation, most recently evident in the eqwools product that allows wool fibre to be spun in the most efficient and widespread short staple cotton spinning system, thus unlocking new global markets for Michell Wool.
Andrew’s career commenced at Ampol Australia in 1987 when he joined the company’s Graduate Trainee Programme, an appointment that proved to be a significant stepping stone to a 20-year career in the downstream oil sector that took him through senior engineering, marketing and management roles in both Australia and internationally – mostly in Southeast Asia, the US and Europe – with the Valvoline Oil Company.
Prior to Michell Wool, he was Chief Executive Officer at world leader in the manufacture, marketing and distribution of textiles for the food industry, Ennio International, and Head of Marketing and Business Development at United Petroleum.
He is also a non-executive director at the Australian Wool Exchange, the industry body that underpins Australia’s wool marketing system.
A passionate supporter of the theatre. An accountant by profession. A man with a long and distinguished career in the wool industry.
That’s the multifaceted personality of Warwick Eddington, Michell Endeavour’s Chief Financial Officer.
During a career spanning almost three decades, Warwick worked across sectors ranging from plastics and cardboard to food, health and automotive before entering the wool industry in 2003 when joining Techwool Trading, a leader in Australian wool trading and exporter of some 220,000 bales per year to over 100 textile mills worldwide, as its Chief Accountant.
Fourteen years later and after identifying a niche for innovation backed by customer service, he teamed up with co-founders and fellow long-term wool industry participants, Josh Lamb and Stuart Greenshields, to establish Endeavour Wool Exports.
As a founding member and shareholder, Chief Financial Officer Warwick has helped to guide the company through its exceptional growth in the export market, to the point where, in less than 10 years, it is recognised as one of the nation’s top wool exporters.
At Michell Endeavour, Warwick’s skills and experience will lead the company’s growth in the brokerage and private buying space and secure its long-term sustainability.
Greg Pearce’s association with the land goes back to his earliest memories, growing up on the family farm in the Adelaide Hills, gaining an appreciation of agricultural systems and the bush and going on to study Natural Resources at Roseworthy Agricultural College.
On graduating in 1991, he spent a few adventurous years as a crocodile catcher in northern Australia before returning to South Australia in the mid-1990s and settling into a career in agribusiness.
After almost a quarter of a century at Treasury Wine Estates, during which time he rose to General Manager of Vineyards and Wineries for Australia and New Zealand and successfully led the company’s business development, he joined Quality Wool as General Manager of Wool & Livestock, a post he held until December 2025.
Immediately prior to joining Michell Endeavour as General Manager in August 2026, Greg consulted to farmers and enterprises in the agricultural sector and remains actively engaged in the family sheep and beef cattle businesses.
The holder of an MBA, Greg is certain wool growing has a productive long-term future and is committed to further developing relationships with Michell Endeavour growers, regional communities and others in the sector to strengthen its standing as a vital and sustainable area of Australian agriculture.
